Gurit AMPREG™ 3X Slow Hardener is a slow-reacting curing agent developed for professional composite manufacturing processes using AMPREG™ epoxy systems. Its extended working time makes it particularly suitable for the production of large composite parts and complex laminates that require longer processing times.

As part of the AMPREG™ 3X hardener range, the product is designed for use in hand lay-up and vacuum bagging applications. Depending on the AMPREG™ resin system used, viscosity and processing characteristics may vary.

The hardener has a burnt orange appearance and a density range of 0.90–1.10 g/cm³ at 21°C. Its low-viscosity characteristics provide excellent flow properties over a wide temperature range, making it suitable for vacuum-assisted composite manufacturing processes.

Instructions for Use

The hardener must be mixed with the selected AMPREG™ resin according to the mixing ratio specified by the manufacturer. Resin and hardener should be mixed thoroughly until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Special attention should be paid to the bottom and sides of the mixing container to ensure complete blending. Once mixed, the material should be applied immediately.

Important Notes

• Deviation from the specified mixing ratio may adversely affect the cured properties of the system.
• Mix thoroughly to achieve a homogeneous blend.
• An exothermic reaction starts immediately after mixing.
• Leaving the mixture in the container for an extended period may accelerate the reaction.
• It is recommended to review the relevant technical data sheets before use.
